Hancock & Moore warrants that if a manufacturing defect occurs with our product, Hancock & Moore will either repair or replace the defect or provide an allowance for the repair that includes frames, cushions and spring-up construction. This warranty covers the original retail purchaser. The warranty does not apply to damage resulting from accident, alteration or misuse. Hancock & Moore does not warrant the wear-ability or durability of fabrics, leather or customers own material.

The motion warranty responsibilities of Hancock & Moore are provided as follows:

  1. If the mechanism fails after the first year of retail purchase, then Hancock & Moore will send a mechanism to the authorized dealer at no additional charge, pay the freight on the new mechanism and pay a reasonable installation fee not to exceed $75.00. The defective mechanism does not need to be returned to Hancock & Moore. Hancock & Moore is not liable for any pick-up and delivery charges incurred by the dealer.
  2. If the mechanism fails within the first three years up to 5 years of retail purchase, then Hancock & Moore will send to the authorized dealer a mechanism free of charge and pay the freight on the new mechanism, provided the mechanism is still available from our supplier. However, it will be between the retailer and the consumer as to who will assume the cost of installation of the new hardware. None of these charges will be reimbursed by Hancock & Moore. The defective mechanism does not need to be returned to Hancock & Moore.
  3. If you have a tilt back chair with a defective gas cylinder, we will send a new gas cylinder on a charge basis. After the cylinder is returned to us, we will issue a credit to offset the invoice for the replacement cylinder.

Hancock & Moore's obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement in accordance with the terms of this warranty. There are no other warranties, either expressed or implied, offered by Hancock & Moore other than those described. Coverage under this warranty does not include incidental or consequential damages other than the coverage listed above.
