Gibney is a full grain leather from Italy produced on select heavier weight European hides. Color and grain variation will occur within each hide because of its weight and the hand rubbing of aniline dyes. Gibney will have a unique creaking sound when handled, typical of the finest Italian leather goods and saddles, due to the vegetable retannage. Gibney has a protective top coat.
